New York rapper Fat Joe is ending 2012 on a sour note. The “Another Round” rhymer just plead guilty to tax evasion in the state of New Jersey.

Fat Joe was accused of not making it rain on the government in the years of 2007 and 2008. The amount Fat Joe owes Uncle Sam is about $700,000. Fat Joe, real name Joseph Cartegena, had radio hits like the Lil Wayne assisted “Make It Rain,” and the romantic jam “I Won’t Tell” that had J. Holiday singing the hook. 2007 also saw Joe featured on DJ Khaled’s breakthrough single “We Takin’ Over” and the remix for “I’m So Hood.”

Joey Crack walked into a New Jersey federal courthouse and entered his plea. He was then released on $250,000 bond. Fat Joe faces up to two years in prison and will be sentenced in April of 2013.
