A bus at the center of a controversial custody case is now available for rent. The bus sits without a hood or front wheels on a lot just outside of Splendora. It’s also where an 11-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy called home while their parents were in prison for wire fraud. Now, Mark and Sherrie Shorten have been released and they were fighting to get their children back.

In the meantime, the bus has been listed on Craigslist. The ad touts the bus is available this first week of September and comes partially furnished with a full sized bath. It states the $400.00 a month rent is perfect for a single adult or young couple looking to save money. One pet is allowed but no mean dogs. The renter will have access to a washer and clothes line. The ad has several photos of the bus interior and encourages those who are interested to act fast.
