In an infamous murder-for-hire case with foundations in Houston, another layer is added. According to reports, key player Michelle Gaiser who admitted to hiring hit men to kill her ex-lover’s wife, has reached a plea deal. According to reports, prosecutors have agreed to a 20-year sentence for Gaiser in return for a guilty plea.

Gaiser’s attorney has reportedly asked the court to put his client on the 9:00 a.m. docket for Friday. Additional reports also indicate taht Gaiser who is charged with solicitation of capital murder, will plead guilty in exchange for a 20-year prison sentence.

Gaiser was the mistress of Bellaire attorney Jeffrey Stern. She is also known as the woman who initiated the first murder-for-hire against Stern’s wife, Yvonne Stern. There were a reported three attempts on Yvonne Stern’s life in 2010; she survived all three of them.

Chip Lewis, who is the attorney for Yvonne Stern, said that his client will be in court Friday to give her victim impact statement.

Earlier this week, prosecutors decided to drop their case against Jeffrey Stern, who had also been charged with solicitation of capital murder in connection to the case.

Two additional men involved in the plot have already pleaded guilty and are in prison. James Lowery pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to 15 years while Richard Gutierrez pleaded guilty to solicitation of capital murder; Gutierrez was also sentenced to 15 years.
