Rush Limbaugh must have forgotten that he is a publicly documented racist and drug addict, and therefore should have thought through his decision to address Ice-T. The war of words came after Ice spoke on gun control in an interview with the UK’sChannel 4.
When asked if the shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theatershould make the government enforce a stricter gun policy, the rapper-turned-actor defended the right to bear arms. “I’ll give up my gun when everybody else does. Doesn’t that make sense? If there were guns here, would you want to be the only person without one?” he said.
“It’s legal [to have a gun] in the United States. It’s part of our constitution. The right to bear arms is because it’s the last defense against tyranny. It’s not to hunt; it’s to protect yourself from the police.”
