Heavy rain fell in several portions of the Houston area early Wednesday resulting in the National Weather Service issuing flash flood warnings and watches.
According to area meteorologists, heavy rain that fell Tuesday night coupled with ongoing rain and storms for Wednesday may lead to flooding in some Houston metropolitan areas. A Flash Flood Watch was placed in effect for much of the Houston area until 7:00 p.m.
