A Virginia couple is learning the importance of gun safety the hard way. According to the “Roanoke Times,” Michael Deel accidentally shot himself and his wife, Michelle, during a gun safety course last Saturday. The instructor had reportedly stepped out of the room when Michael shot himself in the hand. The bullet passed through his hand and wound up striking Michelle in the leg. The couple was taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for injuries that are said to be non-life threatening. Authorities in Bedford County continue to investigate the shooting.
