A man was tased and arrested following a standoff near Downtown Houston early Tuesday morning. According to initial reports, a man held SWAT officers at bay for nearly three hours. Authorities subdued the man with a taser before arresting him. Additional reports indicate that the incident happened on Noble near Gano just after midnight Tuesday after the man reportedly pulled a knife on his neighbor during an argument.

The neighbor who had the confrontation with the suspect called 911. When police arrived the man had already barricaded himself inside his apartment, refusing to talk to authorities. HPD SWAT was called to the scene, attempting to calm the man down. The man continued yelling and ranting from one of his apartment windows. After several attempts to reason with the man calmly, SWAT forcibly entered into the man’s apartment and around 3:30 A.M. The man was later tased and taken into custody. There were no other injuries reported.
