Jason Russell, the founder of Invisible Children who created the most successful viral video in the history of the Internet with the short documentary KONY 2012, has been arrested for allegedly “playing with his privates” in public. According to TMZ, Russell was dancing around the Intersection of Ingraham and Riviera wearing “speedo-like underwear”  and eventually removed the underwear and began to make s*xual gestures while under the influence of some sort of substance.

According to law enforcement officials with knowledge of the situation, Russell is being hospitalized on a 5150 psychiatric hold so authorities can assess his mental state. The 5150 hold allows authorities to keep Russell for up to 3 days to determine if he represents a threat to either himself or others. Less than two weeks ago, Jason Russell created a video documenting Joseph Kony, a war criminal who uses young children as soldiers. The video, which is used as a form activism awareness has garnered over 80,000,000 views to date.
