The #1 Jack Yates Lions (32-0) defeated #3 LaMarque Cougars (34-3) 101-83 in front of a standing-room-only crowd of an estimated 6,000 on Saturday at the Merrell Center in Katy.

With the win, the Lions, are headed to Austin to defend their Class 4A Region III championship.
