Local news station KHOU is reporting that one person was killed and a baby injured after the two were struck by a vehicle in northwest Houston Wednesday morning.

An officer was driving on West Little York when he noticed a woman in an SUV weaving on the road, according to police scanners. The officer attempted to pull the SUV over, but the driver lost control in the 3100 block of West Little York at T. C. Jester.

The victim and baby were waiting at a bus stop when the SUV hit them.

The driver kept going, eventually flipping the vehicle a short distance down the road.

The person who was with the baby died at the scene. The baby was taken to the hospital via ground ambulance. The baby’s condition was not known.

The driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital.
