What is Education-N-Hoops, Inc.
Education-N-Hoops, Inc. (“ENH”) is a non-profit organization located in Houston’s Third Ward. ENH was established in July 2002. It officially opened its doors to the community in May 2003.
ENH’s motto is “Recreation with Education”. Simply stated, the goal is to instill in our youth the importance of scholastic excellence and the value of physical fitness. In so doing, we provide programs focused on academic tutoring, computer training, sports instruction, dance and theater classes, cultural awareness classes and field trips. We also provide seminars focused on the dangers of drug abuse and avoiding peer pressure.
ENH’s philosophy combines the elements of service, advocacy, and empowerment in its approach. We strive to promote community service programs, advocacy for those in need, and empowerment of all individuals so they can play leading roles in the success of their communities.
